- 2009 SEASON TRYOUT DATES HAVE BEEN DETERMINED
Tryouts will be held on Saturday August 23rd and Sunday August 24th, 2008. Players trying out for the 10, 11, 12, and 13 year old Blaze will tryout at Westbrook School and players trying out for Blaze 14 will try out at Crowley Park. The Blaze will again consider multiple teams per level depending upon the turnout and players abilities at tryouts. 2nd teams are a possibility but not a guarantee. If players wish to be considered for multiple ages, they must attend tryouts for both levels or discuss the desire to be considered for multiple levels with a Blaze Board member.

- BLAZE OPEN HOUSE
The Glenview Blaze will host a "Blaze Open House" on Monday, July 28th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at our practice facility at 4334 Regency Drive; Glenview, IL 60025. We will have board members, players, and parents from the organization who have participated in the program over the years available to answer any
questions players or their families may have with regards to playing for the Glenview Blaze. Such questions could be items regarding tournaments, playing schedules, practice schedules, fees, playing time, etc. This will also give parents a chance to see the practice facility and meet some of our coaches and staff. If you are considering trying out for the 2009 Blaze, this is a great opportunity to have all your questions answered! We hope to see many people there!

BLAZE MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Glenview Blaze Baseball Program is to provide our youth with the finest instruction and the opportunity to compete at the highest levels of youth baseball.

The goal of the Blaze Baseball program is to develop both outstanding character and Baseball skills to the point where they are able to compete for a position on their high school team and should they desire, compete at the collegiate level and beyond.

The Glenview Blaze Baseball Program will also provide the focus and positive pursuit for our youth in a fun environment where both discipline and good sportsmanship are expected and rigidly enforced. It is our hope that these principles will continue to remain with each player throughout their life both on and off the baseball field.
